456: Support for Vista

Support for Vista has been added to the product. This meant dealing with some Icon issues, an upgrade of some GUI components, and a full regression of the product.

Release 1.3.5 - 3/5/2006

456: Error in XML - invalid characters in index definition

There was an issue with indexes that would sometimes lead to invalid characters in the XML export. This has been corrected.

389: UDDTs not comparing

A UDDT compare issue was fixed in release 1.3, but UDDTs still did not compare correctly until the session was saved. UDDTs now always compare correctly.

344: Double clicking on .sqc file doesn't work properly.

After release 1.3 additional issues surfaced with this again, so the issue was re-opened. It is now correct.

452: Rare Error - dupe key in collection

If there was a UDDT or a Role with the same name as a Table, an error occured. This has been corrected.

453: Repeating Diff at Page Break in Diff Report

This was a cosmetic issue in the in the Diff Report causing an inappropriate repetition of data. It has been corrected.

455: Remove unneeded DLLs and controls from setup.

We were able to trim the size of our download by removing some components that are no longer needed.

454: Double-clicking on a .SQC file causes an error

Dupe of 344.

442: UDDT mistakenly swaps values for BoundDefault and BoundRule

A bug, plain and simple. It has been corrected.

Release 1.3 - 9/19/2005

384: Command Line Interface

A rich command line interface (CLI) has been added to the product. The CLI supports naming a session file for all options and configuration settings, results export file format and location settings, and various logging mode settings.

385: XML Export

The product now supports an XML results format, both as a preview when running in GUI mode and as an export when running from the command line.

386: Interactive Feedback and Support Items

Improvements to help users seek support and provide helpful feedback to SQL Effects Software. These features are found under the Help menu.

387: Enhanced Comparison Options

Allows greater control over how object attributes are compared. For example, for indexes you can now choose to ignore the name of the index and just compare the index definition. This is useful if you find that you are getting false positives because various names have changed without the definition of the item changing. These settings are available for various attributes of Tables, Stored Procedures, Views, and Functions.

315: Play an audio for completion of long running compares

If you regularly perform long running comparisons you can configure the software to notify you of completion by playing an audio file.

380: Error when comparing columns that have different case.

In some comparison situations the logic failed for column names due to differences in case. This has been corrected.

381: Double Clicking on a file does not open the file

Double Clicking on an .sqc file now works in all situations.

389: UDDTs not comparing

In some comparison situations the UDDT comparison selection setting was failing. This has been corrected.

390: Dupe Keypress not responding in connection wizard

This minor annoyance has been corrected.

388: Browser Explanation not clearing on new session

When a new session is started the browser explanation window is now cleared.

344: Double clicking on .sqc file doesn't work properly.

Double clicking on an .sqc file now works in all situations.

Prior Versions

Detailed release notes are not available for SQL Accord releases prior to 1.3. The product has existed since 1999 and was originally built as a custom tool. In 2005 it was modernized and refined with a completely new GUI and improvements to the core processing architecture. The Sybase ASE version of the tool was made available to the public for the first time in September of 2005 as release 1.3.
